You'll work alongside our existing purchasing team to manage procurement of either raw materials, semi-finished goods, or cloud manufacturing for our engine parts exports division covering supplier qualification, contract negotiation, purchase order management, and delivery tracking for your assigned category or portfolio. You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Quality, Warehousing, and Finance to keep procurement aligned with operational forecasts and quality standards, while contributing to cost efficiency and supplier performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to optimize cost and value
- Manage purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules
- Collaborate with the wider purchasing team and cross-functional departments to align on production and quality needs
- Analyze market trends and support inventory optimization
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in cost efficiency and supplier performance
What We're Looking For
- Proven expertise in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Strong vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract management skills
- Experience coordinating inventory with production and warehousing teams
- Proficiency in SAP or similar procurement systems, MS Excel, and data analysis tools
- Understanding of engine components and machining processes is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working within a team-based, cross-functional setting
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Prior experience in a purchasing/procurement role, preferably in the automotive aftermarket
