Job Title: Lawyer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic attorney to handle a range of legal matters concerned to business practices in a company. You will take care of the client's legal and commercial needs. As a lawyer, you often draft company land agreements, contracts and other legal documents for commercial activities, and also negotiate agreements.

Salary Range for this job is anywhere between 5-6 LPA.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contract drafting and Negotiations:
- Involves drafting and negotiating contracts, overseeing legal paper works related to government and RERA.
- Curate and review legal paperwork and documentation, draft, review, and negotiate contracts, sub-contracts, joint venture agreements, commercial agreements, vendor contracts, employment policies, tender documents using standard industry formats to ensure favorable risk allocation that protect and support the company's interests while adhering to corporate compliance laws.
- Making sure that the contracts entered into are legally sound also drafts contracts where need be. In addition, providing revisions to existing contracts and also aids in requests for proposals, bidding for proposals as well as assisting with various interpretations.
- Improvise and oversee the company policies on legal affairs periodically as the company attorney.
- Guide the management team on the legal directions to take.
- Undertake and perform in-depth legal research for partnerships, mergers, RERA land acquisitions and other transactions.

- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
- Monitor and ensure adherence to local and national regulations, corporate governance, and ROC filings.
- Advise management on director liabilities, intellectual property protection, and potential legal disputes. Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments regarding indemnities, insurance policies, and liability clauses.

- Dispute Resolution & Litigation:




- Handling disputes that arise within the company or with external parties.
- Certain disputes such as - breach of contract and various others are likely to arise. These disputes are resolved by a lawyer either through litigation or alternative dispute resolution.
- A lawyer also foresees any possible disagreements and adjusts accordingly so as to prevent such issues from growing into legal action.
- Provide sound legal counsel whenever needed.

- Stakeholder Collaboration & Claim Management:
- In cases of unforeseen circumstances which may happen, a lawyer submits claims for such unforeseen event; delays/disruptions or any other kind of interferences at work.
- The lawyer ensures that all claims submitted are in tandem with any contractual obligations or legal requirements. In cases of bond or lien claims, the lawyer also ensures that such claims are enforced.

Job Requirements:

Lawyer Skills and Qualification:

- Education:

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized institution (National Law Universities or premier institutes preferred).

- Licensure:

Enrollment with the Bar Council of India (with AIBE qualification)

- Experience:

Typically, 3 to 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), Specialization in construction arbitration or real estate litigation is a plus point.

- Knowledge Base:

Working knowledge of land acquisitions, Revenue land matters laws, the Indian Arbitration Act, the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA), and basic knowledge of local municipal building byelaws is a must.

- Soft Skills:

Exceptional drafting abilities, analytical thinking, and the capability to collaborate seamlessly with external counsel.

Work Setting:
A lawyer is typically required to work from office. Candidate may have to travel to courts, government or semi govt offices, senior lawyer offices, any other places required by the nature of work.
