The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day factory operations, production planning, manpower management, quality compliance, and timely execution of manufacturing activities.
The role will act as the second-in-command to the Factory Manager and ensure smooth factory operations while supporting business growth, capacity expansion, and process excellence initiatives.
Production Operations
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
- Monitor manufacturing activities related to Link Boxes, Clamps, Cleats and other cable accessory products.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores and Dispatch teams for seamless execution.
- Minimize production downtime and ensure optimal utilization of machines and manpower.
- Maintain production records and reports.
Production Planning & Control
- Monitor and assist in preparing weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Track work orders and ensure timely completion.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
Manpower Management
- Supervise shop-floor personnel and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor attendance, discipline and productivity of factory employees.
- Conduct daily production meetings and communicate operational priorities.
- Support training and skill development of workmen and operators.
Quality Management
- Ensure adherence to approved quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Work closely with the Quality team to reduce rejection and rework.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, factory rules and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Promote protected work practices and maintain housekeeping standards.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree: In Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
