Role & responsibilities -Operations Team Lead

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain, inventory, warehouse operations, imports, logistics, order processing, and customer service activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth business operations, process optimization, team management, and cross-functional coordination to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Procurement

- Prepare purchase planning and inventory replenishment forecasts.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability.
- Review and approve purchase requirements.
- Import & International Logistics

- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and vendors.
- Obtain and compare freight quotations for air and sea shipments.
- Track import shipments from dispatch to warehouse delivery.
- Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with import regulations.
- Manage BOE, ORM closure, and import documentation.
- Inventory Management

- Monitor inventory accuracy across warehouses.
- Ensure proper stock reconciliation and stock audits.
- Track slow-moving, non-moving, and aging inventory.
- Maintain inventory records in ERP/Inventory Management Systems.

Warehouse Operations

- Supervise inbound and outbound warehouse activities.
- Ensure timely packing, and dispatch.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams and 3PL partners.
- Implement warehouse process improvements and SOPs.

Order Management

- Oversee order processing from receipt to dispatch.




- Ensure timely creation and execution of Sales Orders and Purchase Orders.
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and customer service teams.
- Monitor order fulfillment KPIs and service levels.

Logistics & Distribution

- Manage domestic transportation and courier partners.
- Coordinate dispatch planning and delivery tracking.
- Handle reverse logistics and customer returns.
- Optimize transportation costs and service performance.

Customer Complaints & Credit Notes

- Investigate customer complaints related to deliveries, shortages, or damages.
- Coordinate resolution with relevant departments.
- Review and approve credit note requests.
- Maintain customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution.

Team Management

- Lead and mentor operations, inventory, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Conduct performance reviews and training programs.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team productivity.
- Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

MIS & Reporting

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Analyze operational KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
- Present business insights to management.
- Ensure data accuracy across systems and reports.

Process Improvement

- Develop and implement SOPs.
- Identify automation and efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
