Why this role exists:

Were hiring a HR Manager to build the Human resource vertical. To take HR from a one-person, reactive function to a structured engine across talent acquisition, payroll, compliance, performance and culture.

This is a builder role. You’ll shape the function, own the systems, and set the standard for how Byufuel hires, pays, grows and retains its people.

The Role:

- Own the end-to-end HR vertical — talent acquisition, HR operations, payroll, compliance, performance, engagement and exits.
- Build the talent acquisition engine: hiring for corporate roles across cities — from sourcing to onboarding.
- Set up and run payroll and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, gratuity, TDS) and keep Byufuel aligned to the India Labour Codes.
- Stand up the HRMS and people data as the single source of truth — headcount, attrition, cost-per-hire, time-to-fill and other HR MIS reported cleanly.
- Design the performance framework — KRAs/OKRs, review cadence, appraisals, and structured PIPs where needed.
- Own the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, confirmation, documentation, transfers, relieving and full-and-final settlements.
- Build culture,



engagement and recognition including programmes that celebrate the workforce that powers Byufuel.
- Structure compensation, benefits and levelling.
- Partner closely with the leadership as a true HR business partner.
- Mentor and grow the existing HR team and build out the vertical as headcount scales.

Who you are:

- 8–12 years in HR, with real depth across both talent acquisition and HR generalist/operations, you’ve owned the full stack, not just one slice.
- You’ve built or meaningfully rebuilt an HR function (systems, policies, processes), not just administered one someone else set up.
- Strong on Indian statutory compliance and payroll — PF, ESI, PT, gratuity, Labour Codes and comfortable owning it end to end.
- Experience hiring (via Naukri/LinkedIn) and managing end to end lifecycle of an employee.
- Equally strategic and hands-on: you can design the policy and run the payroll cycle while the team is still small.
- Data-fluent: you track and act on HR metrics (attrition, TAT, cost-per-hire) and are strong on Excel/HRMS.
- Bonus:
1. Exposure to manufacturing, logistics, or sustainability/clean-energy businesses.
2. Have worked in a startup or high-growth workplace and can build from a blank page.
