Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HRIS Analyst to join our global HRIS & People Operations team based in Hyderabad, India. This role will be responsible for supporting the ongoing administration, configuration, reporting, and optimization of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and related modules.
The HRIS Analyst will support Workday HCM, Time and Absence, Talent, Compensation, and Recruiting while partnering closely with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, and IT teams to ensure our HR technology solutions effectively support global business processes. This role will also support inbound and outbound integrations, reporting and analytics, system testing, and continuous improvement initiatives across the HR technology landscape.
In addition to supporting existing Workday functionality, this role will play a key role in the implementation and ongoing administration of Workday Recruiting and will contribute to future Workday enhancements and deployments as the organization continues to grow globally.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Configuration & Administration
- Support the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of Workday HCM and related modules.
- Assist with the administration of Global Time and Absence, Talent Management, Compensation, and Recruiting.
- Support configuration changes, business process updates, security administration, validations, and testing activities.
- Participate in Workday releases by evaluating new functionality, performing testing, and supporting deployment activities.
- Assist with troubleshooting system issues and identifying root causes of configuration, process, and data challenges.
- Respond to and resolve HRIS support requests, investigate system issues, and provide timely resolution to stakeholders.
- Support the implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing administration of Workday Recruiting.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition stakeholders to gather requirements, configure functionality, and optimize recruiting processes.
- Support annual compensation processes including merit, bonus, and compensation planning activities.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, process guides, and configuration records.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data visualizations.
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable workforce insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across Workday and downstream systems.
- Support audit, compliance, operational, and executive reporting requirements.
- Analyze workforce data and identify trends, opportunities, and process improvements.
Integrations & Data Management
- Support inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and third-party applications.
- Support the monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of Workday integrations.
- Partner with HR, IT, Payroll, Advantages, and third-party vendors to ensure successful data exchanges between systems.
- Assist with integration testing, validation, and deployment activities.
- Support data conversion, reconciliation, and validation efforts during implementations and system enhancements.
- Ensure data quality standards are maintained across all HR systems and interfaces.
Project & Process Improvement Support
- Participate in HR technology projects, Workday implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a key HRIS resource during the implementation of Workday Recruiting, including requirements gathering, configuration support, testing, training, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, Payroll, and external implementation partners to support successful project execution.
- Partner with global HR teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced employee and manager experiences through Workday.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), change management activities, and end-user training initiatives.
- Provide functional support and guidance to HR and business stakeholders globally.
Payroll Support (Preferred)
- Support Workday Payroll-related processes, reporting, and testing activities where applicable.
- Partner with Payroll teams to troubleshoot system and data issues.
- Assist with payroll-related configuration enhancements and process improvements.
- Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and validation activities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of HRIS experience supporting Workday.
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM administration and configuration.
- Experience creating and maintaining Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
- Experience supporting HR system integrations and data management activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced global environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience supporting Workday Time and Absence.
- Experience supporting Workday Talent and Compensation modules.
- Experience supporting or implementing Workday Recruiting.
- Experience supporting Workday Payroll.
- Experience participating in Workday implementations, upgrades, or large-scale enhancement projects.
- Familiarity with EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday integration troubleshooting.
- Exposure to Workday Studio is a plus.
- Experience supporting global HR processes and multinational employee populations.
- Workday certification(s) are a plus.
- Knowledge of recruiting processes, applicant tracking systems, and candidate lifecycle management.
