The Role

Are you a caring, compassionate individual who is passionate about making a difference to people's lives? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is looking for dedicated Health Care Support Workers to join our Older People and Stroke Rehabilitation & Assessment teams. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, person-centred care that supports patients throughout their recovery and rehabilitation journey.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern: Full Time, Permanent

You will be based at The Vale of Leven Hospital

Working Pattern: TBC Key Responsibilities Support Registered Nurses in delivering safe, effective and compassionate patient care

Assist patients with personal care activities including washing, dressing, mobility and nutrition

Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition to the nurse in charge

Assist with patient admissions, transfers and discharges in line with local procedures

Complete and maintain accurate patient documentation and care records

Ensure clinical areas, equipment and storage areas are clean,



tidy and well maintained

Assist with stock control and the safe management of patient belongings Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job: Good standard of general education

Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact sensitively with patients and families

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Caring, compassionate and person-centred approach to patient care

Ability to follow procedures and work under the supervision of Registered Nurses

Awareness of the importance of maintaining accurate records and confidentiality
