Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head Research & Development to lead the Resin & Analytical Services function. The role will be responsible for driving innovation in polymer and resin technologies, leading current product development, managing analytical services, and supporting commercialization of advanced coating solutions for Automotive, Industrial, Powder, and Wood Coating applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development of innovative polymer and resin technologies for Automotive, Industrial, Powder, CED, and Wood Coating applications.
- Drive new product development projects from concept through commercialization.
- Develop and optimize Acrylic, Polyester, Alkyd, Polyurethane, Modified Resins, MF/UF Resins, CED Resins, and Blocked Crosslinkers used in paints and coatings.
- Lead laboratory-scale research, pilot plant trials, technology transfer, and commercial manufacturing scale-up.




- Provide technical leadership in analytical characterization using FTIR, DSC, Particle Size Analyzer, Spectrophotometry, and other advanced analytical techniques.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to deliver innovative coating solutions.
- Drive value engineering, cost optimization, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing R&D; team while fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, laboratory safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Expertise

- Strong expertise in polymer synthesis and coating resin development.
- Hands-on experience in Acrylic, Polyester, Alkyd, Polyurethane, MF/UF, CED Resins, Modified Resins, and Blocked Crosslinkers.
- In-depth knowledge of Automotive, Industrial, Powder, and Wood Coating technologies.
- Experience in laboratory research, pilot-scale development, commercialization, and technology transfer.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in FTIR, DSC, Particle Size Analyzer, Spectrophotometry, and other polymer characterization techniques.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
