Roles and responsibilities

Curriculum and Assessment:

- Curriculum planning and guiding its implementation by teachers

- Ensure lesson plans are aligned with the expected pedagogy

- Prepare Timetable and Academic Calendar

- Offer parents information about students learning or behavioural issues; and suggest sound recommendations.

- Arrange for career development workshops for teachers.

- Identify the resources required for the smooth functioning of the school.

- Analyse the academic scores of students and suggest necessary steps for improvement.

Administration

- Maintain a school culture where professionalism, punctuality, and accountability prevail

- Work collaboratively with the management. Plan and execute functions with prior approvals from management.

- Participate in budget planning





- Keep the management well informed about the academic progress through School Committee meetings

- Hold regular staff meetings with the staff to ensure schedules are on track and events are conducted smoothly.

- Liaison with the Education department for various school-functioning related matters.

- Visit schools as part of the inspection programme assigned by the Education department.

Teacher Supervision

- Conduct regular classroom observation and review meetings to promote professional growth.

- Ensure that the teachers communicate with parents on a regular basis and keep them well informed about their child’s progress.
