Job Summary The Head of Maintenance is a full-time, in office role based at PEPL’s facility in Lonavala, Pune (410403).

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and dynamic Maintenance Manager with 8-10 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will oversee the maintenance of our two advanced manufacturing units (Engine Valves, Valve Seat Inserts, and Valve Guides). You will be responsible for ensuring maximum machine uptime, implementing preventive maintenance, and managing a team of technicians to support our cutting-edge forging, casting, and heat treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities

- Machine Uptime: Ensure continuous operation of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), Extrusion Forging, Casting, Induction Hardening, and Heat Treatment plants.




- Maintenance Planning: Plan and execute Preventive, Predictive, and Breakdown maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians and engineers.
- Utility Management: Oversee plant utilities including air compressors, DG sets, electrical substations, cooling towers, and water treatment plants.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct Breakdown Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Spare Parts Management: Maintain optimum inventory of critical machine spares and consumables while optimizing costs.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with safety standards, EHS guidelines, and 5S practices on the shop floor.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external OEMs and vendors for machine servicing, retrofitting, and AMC contracts.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

- Experience: 8 to 10 years of solid experience in the maintenance department of an Automotive/Heavy Engineering/Forging/Casting industry.
- Technical Skills:

o Strong knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Mechanical systems.

o Familiarity with PLC automation, CNC/VMC machines, and Induction heating systems.

o Hands-on experience with Extrusion Forging presses and Heat Treatment furnaces.

- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, excellent communication, and time-management skills.
