Position Purpose The Head Manufacturing will be responsible for the overall manufacturing operations of the company, ensuring timely delivery of packaging machinery with the highest standards of quality, safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.
The role will lead and integrate Mechanical Assembly, Electrical Assembly, Quality Assurance, Fabrication, Machining, ISO Compliance, Safety, and Plant Excellence initiatives to build a world-class manufacturing organization.
The ideal candidate should be a strong team builder with hands-on experience in packaging machinery manufacturing and a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Leadership
- Develop and enforce a solid safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company safety requirements.
- Conduct safety reviews, audits, and corrective actions.
- Drive zero-accident and zero-unsafe-practice culture.
2. Plant 5S & Lean Manufacturing
- Lead implementation and sustenance of:
- 5S
- Visual Management
- Kaizen
- Lean Manufacturing Practices
- Improve workplace organization and productivity.
- Drive waste elimination initiatives across the plant.
3. Manufacturing Operations
- Lead complete manufacturing operations covering:
- Mechanical Assembly
- Electrical Assembly
- Fabrication
- Machining
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure machines are manufactured and tested as per project schedules and customer specifications.
- Drive on-time delivery and production efficiency.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions wherever required.
4. Assembly Excellence
- Ensure smooth coordination between Mechanical,
Electrical and Automation teams.
- Establish robust assembly processes and quality checkpoints.
- Improve productivity through process optimization and standardization.
- Drive reduction in assembly rework and machine commissioning issues.
5. Quality Assurance
- Lead the Quality Assurance function.
- Develop and implement quality systems to achieve "First Time Right" manufacturing.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer complaints and internal quality issues.
- Ensure adherence to customer quality requirements and company standards.
- Precision machining practices
- Improve vendor quality and in-house manufacturing capabilities.
- Establish manufacturing standards and inspection protocols.
6. ISO & Management Systems
- Act as Management Representative for ISO systems.
- Ensure compliance with
- ISO 9001 / 11001/ 45000
- Internal SOPs
- Process documentation requirements
- Lead internal and external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
7.. Team Development
- Build and mentor high-performing manufacturing teams.
- Create accountability and ownership across functions.
- Develop succession planning and talent development programs.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture.
8. Cost & Productivity Improvement
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
- Improve manufacturing efficiencies and resource utilization.
- Monitor and control manufacturing costs against budgets.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Additional certifications in Quality, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Safety will be an advantage.
Experience
- 15–20 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing multidisciplinary manufacturing teams.

- Based in Delhi NCR or willing to relocate to NCR.
- Experience with pharmaceutical, food, beverage, FMCG, or end-of-line packaging equipment manufacturers will be an added advantage.
