What are we looking for?

HDFC Life is seeking a highly experienced Generative AI Solution Architect with 9-12 years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale AI solutions. The individual will be responsible for defining AI solution architecture standards, establishing enterprise AI design patterns, governing AI solution reviews, and driving model orchestration strategies across the organization.

The role will play a critical part in shaping the organization's AI ecosystem by providing architectural guidance for GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, AI Agents, AI Platforms, and emerging AI technologies. The individual will work closely with business teams, AI engineers, platform teams, cloud engineering, security, and governance stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, reusable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

This position requires robust expertise in AI architecture, GenAI technologies, model orchestration frameworks, cloud-native AI solutions, enterprise integration patterns, and AI governance.

What does the job entail?

1. AI Enterprise AI Architecture &

- Solution Design :
- Define and govern enterprise AI architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Design scalable and reusable AI solutions leveraging GenAI, LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, and foundation models.
- Establish enterprise AI design patterns, reference architectures, and reusable solution accelerators.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI architectures.
- Ensure alignment of AI solutions with enterprise architecture principles and technology standards.

Model

Orchestration, Knowledge Architecture &

- AI Engineering Frameworks :
- Design and implement model orchestration strategies across multiple foundation models and AI services.




- Define architecture patterns for prompt orchestration, agent orchestration, workflow automation, and multi-agent systems.
- Establish standards for model routing, guardrails, grounding, context management, and response optimization.
- Drive adoption of enterprise frameworks for RAG, AI agents, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval systems.
- Define enterprise-wide patterns for semantic search, knowledge discovery, document intelligence, and contextual retrieval.

3.

Knowledge

Layer &

- Vector Database Architecture :
- Design scalable vector database architectures to support enterprise search, retrieval, recommendation, and Agentic AI use cases.
- Establish standards for chunking, embeddings, metadata management, indexing, retrieval, re-ranking, and knowledge governance.
- Drive selection, architecture, and optimization of vector database platforms such as OpenSearch, Pinecone, Chroma, Qdrant or equivalent technologies.
- Define patterns for integrating structured and unstructured enterprise data into AI-ready knowledge repositories.

4. Cloud, Platform &

- Integration Architecture :
- Design cloud-native AI architectures leveraging AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid deployment models.
- Define integration patterns between AI services, enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and business systems.
- Partner with platform engineering teams to establish reusable AI services and enterprise capabilities.

Essential conditions :

- Education : BE/ MBA
- Work exp : 9 years

Work related skills

- Strong expertise in Vector Database architecture, Embedding Models, Semantic Search, Hybrid Search, Knowledge Graphs, and Enterprise Knowledge Management.
- Experience designing large-scale RAG architectures using OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Qdrant, Chroma, or similar vector platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise knowledge layer design, data ingestion strategies, chunking frameworks, retrieval optimization, and AI observability.
- Experience designing reusable knowledge services for Agentic AI, Copilot, Search, and Conversational AI platforms.
