Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating Developer (GWCP)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating Developer with 6-7 years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter and strong expertise in the Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Rating configuration, Gosu development, Product Model, and PolicyCenter customization. The role requires deep knowledge of Guidewire Cloud standards, best practices, and cloud deployment processes to deliver scalable, high-quality insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions with a primary focus on Rating.
- Configure and maintain Rate Books, Rate Tables, Rate Routines, and Rating Worksheets.
- Develop and customize business logic using Gosu.
- Configure and enhance Product Model, entities, typelists, and business rules.
- Build, customize, and support PolicyCenter integrations and cloud-based deployments.
- Implement solutions following Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) standards and best practices.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing, defect resolution, code reviews, and production support.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams,



and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and cloud deployment guidelines.

Required Skills

- 6-7 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Strong expertise in Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).
- Extensive experience in Rating configuration, including:

- Rate Books

- Rate Tables

- Rate Routines

- Rating Worksheets
- Strong programming experience in Gosu.
- Experience with Product Model, entity configuration, typelists, and business rules.
- Knowledge of Guidewire Cloud architecture, deployment processes, and development best practices.
- Experience with Guidewire configuration, customization, and integration.
- Solid analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Guidewire Digital or Guidewire Integration Framework.
- Exposure to Guidewire PolicyCenter upgrades and cloud migration projects.
- Knowledge of insurance domain concepts such as Personal Lines or Commercial Lines.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, and cloud-based development practices.
