Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement of medicines, surgical items, medical consumables, and pharmacy supplies.

Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with vendors and pharmaceutical suppliers.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost-effective procurement.

Ensure timely processing of purchase requisitions and purchase orders.

Coordinate with the Pharmacy, Stores, Finance, and Clinical departments to maintain optimum inventory levels.

Monitor stock availability and ensure zero stock-out of critical medicines.

Track pending orders and ensure timely delivery from vendors.

Verify quotations, invoices, and purchase-related documentation.

Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards.

Analyze purchase trends and prepare MIS reports, cost-saving reports,



and vendor performance reports.

Resolve vendor-related issues and maintain long-term supplier relationships.

Conduct periodic market surveys to identify new products and competitive pricing.

Support audits by maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation.

Required Skills

Robust negotiation and vendor management skills.

Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and hospital procurement processes.

Good understanding of inventory management principles.

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Hospital Management Systems.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
