Position Consultant General Ophthalmologist (OPD)

Qualification

- MS Ophthalmology
- DNB Ophthalmology
- DO (Diploma in Ophthalmology)

Registration

- Valid RMC / State Medical Council Registration

Experience

- Experienced candidates preferred
- Candidates should be capable of independently managing comprehensive Ophthalmology OPD services

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive Eye OPD consultations
- Diagnose and manage cataract, glaucoma, refractive errors, dry eye, conjunctivitis, and other common ophthalmic disorders
- Perform slit-lamp examination, fundoscopy, tonometry, and refraction
- Interpret diagnostic investigations including OCT, Fundus Photography, Visual Field Analysis, and B-Scan as required
- Manage ophthalmic emergencies and provide appropriate referrals when needed
- Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medications, and preventive eye care
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation




- Coordinate with Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Cataract, and Oculoplasty specialists for comprehensive patient care

Skills Required

- Strong clinical expertise in General Ophthalmology
- Excellent diagnostic and patient management skills
- Good communication and patient counselling abilities
- Skilled, ethical, and patient-centric approach
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume OPD setup
