Golang Developer Cloud Engineering Consultant

About the Role

We work with clients to modernize traditional platforms and enable cloud-ready architectures using innovative technologies.

We are looking for a skilled Golang Developer Cloud Engineering Consultant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have robust experience in Go programming, API development, cloud technologies, and backend engineering. The role involves designing and developing scalable applications, supporting cloud transformation initiatives, and working across diverse technology landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend applications using Golang (Go).
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and cloud-native services.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions.
- Analyze existing systems and support modernization initiatives from traditional platforms to cloud-ready architectures.
- Understand and work with vendor product configurations, deployment scripts, and enterprise applications.
- Support reverse engineering and modernization of legacy systems, including COBOL-based applications from IBM Z mainframes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to migrate and rewrite legacy components into modern Go-based solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions for production environments.
- Work with SQL databases and optimize queries, data models, and application performance.




- Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations.
- Follow Agile development practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Golang (Go Programming).
- Strong experience in backend application development.
- Experience developing and integrating APIs.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a polyglot technology environment.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with ISO8583 messaging standards.
- Understanding of OSI Layer 4 APIs.
- Experience working with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to mainframe technologies, COBOL systems, and modernization projects.
- Experience working with XML configurations and deployment scripts.
