Role & responsibilities

Global Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute multi-year category playbooks for generic APIs, KSMs, and critical intermediates aligned with organizational launch targets and cost-improvement programs.

Commercial Negotiation: Lead high-value contract negotiations, establishing long-term supply agreements (LTSA), volume rebate structures, indexing mechanisms (raw material/solvent cost pass-through), and favorable payment terms.

Cost Modeling & Value Creation: Apply should-cost analysis, synthetic route cost benchmarking, and yield analysis to drive value engineering and achieve target Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reductions.

The role will lead the global procurement strategy for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), Key Starting Materials (KSMs), advanced intermediates, and custom synthesis/CDMO chemical building blocks

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors / Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Chemistry / Supply Chain

Management.

Min. 15 years of experience in strategic global sourcing or procurement within the industrial chemicals / pharmaceutical / specialty chemicals sector. 5-8 years in leadership role
