JobDescription:

Objective of the job is to lead GIS development team for IT & GIS projects. Evaluate Technical architectures and provide hand on support to team. The GIS Application Development Leadshouldable to developsoftwaremodules,customsoftwaretoolsinopensourceGISusingtherequireddevelopmentlanguage.Thecandidateshallbeexpectedto:

- Lead and coordinate GIS development teams for IT & GIS projects, evaluate technical architecture, and provide hands-on development support.
- Design and develop scalable WebGIS applications and custom tools using open-source GIS technologies.
- Develop responsive web applications and integrate frontend with REST APIs (.NET Core or similar) and third-party GIS APIs (MapMyIndia or similar).
- Strong experience in PostgreSQL/PostGIS or MSSQL, advanced query writing, and performance optimization.
- Follow SDLC, Agile methodology, UML, sprint planning, code reviews, and UI/UX collaboration.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, cross-browser troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Expertise in version control (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).
- Design and develop GIS applications with raster/vector data handling and WebGIS portal integration.




- Experience using AI tools, AI agents, MCP servers, and GeoAI workflows for accelerated development.
- Real-time geospatial processing, AI/ML and 3D/WebGL GIS, mobile GIS applications, and handling large-scale spatial datasets with strong debugging/ optimization.

Qualification:

B.E./B. Tech

OR

PG in IT/CS or Equivalent

Experience:

4 years of skilled experience in GIS application development across web and client-server environments using OpenLayers/Leaflet/Mapbox with Angular/React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Strong expertise in full software development lifecycle including system design, development, deployment, and maintenance.

Desirable Skills & Experience:-

- CustomizedevelopmentofenterpriseGISServerslikeArcGIS/Apollo GIS.
- Workingknowledgeofspatialdatabasehandling.
- Designingof GIS components.
- ServersideprogramminginopensourceGISorArcGISServer.
- WorkingknowledgeofSpatialIndexing.
- KnowledgeandexperiencewithWebServices,Openstandards,XML,GML/KML.
- Experience with GeoServer and GeoWebCache.
- Good understanding of WFS, WMS, and WCS.
- Expertise in performing geospatial operations at the backend, frontend, and database levels.
- Development using AI tools.
