Job Opportunity: Senior GIS Analyst (Irrigation & PDN Projects)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior GIS Analyst to lead geospatial engineering for large-scale agricultural and water resource infrastructure projects. This role focuses heavily on

1. Pipe Distribution Network (PDN) and micro-irrigation systems in India and overseas .

1. ELU preparation of Town Planning schemes.

This is a 100% fully remote position. We welcome applications for both full-time employment and independent freelancing/contract arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, model, and optimize alignment routes for Pipe Distribution Networks (PDN).




- Analyze Digital Elevation Models (DEM) and LiDAR data for topographical terrain modeling.
- Calculate hydraulic catchments, command area delineations, and optimal pipeline zoning.
- Generate high-accuracy command area maps for government submissions and water resource planning.
- Oversee enterprise GIS databases to ensure data integrity and compliance with Indian engineering standards.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in GIS analysis.
- Note: Employment gaps are completely acceptable, provided your technical skills and domain knowledge are fully up to date.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record working on Indian & International irrigation projects, micro-irrigation, or PDN .
- Software: Expert proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
- Technical Skills: Command of Python (ArcPy/PyQGIS) or SQL for spatial scripting and network analysis.
