Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MD/DNB General Medicine role based at Mithra Kidney Care Centre in Tiruppur. The physician will evaluate and manage adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, infections, and systemic diseases affecting kidney health. Daily responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds, history taking, physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating treatment plans in coordination with nephrologists and other specialists.

The role involves monitoring patient progress, adjusting therapies, providing preventive care counseling, and ensuring accurate and timely clinical documentation. The physician will also participate in clinical meetings, contribute to care protocols, coordinate with nursing and allied health staff, and support quality and safety initiatives within the centre.

Qualifications

- MD or DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution with valid medical registration
- Strong clinical skills in internal medicine, including assessment and management of common and complex adult medical conditions.




- Experience or interest in working with patients with kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes, and other chronic systemic illnesses.
- Ability to order, interpret, and act on laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations accurately and promptly.
- Competence in managing medical emergencies and coordinating stabilizing care with relevant specialists and critical care teams.
- Clear, compassionate communication skills for interactions with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, manage time effectively, and handle a steady clinical workload.
- Willingness to participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and continuous professional development.
- Prior experience in a hospital or specialty centre setting is preferred; newly qualified candidates with robust clinical training may also be considered.
