General Manager Quality Control
Role Overview:
The GM – Quality Control will lead the company's quality assurance and quality control functions, ensuring that all products meet food safety, regulatory, and company quality standards. The role is responsible for driving quality excellence across raw materials, production, packaging, and finished goods while ensuring compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, and other applicable food safety standards. The incumbent will also lead quality improvement initiatives, manage audits, and build a solid quality culture across all manufacturing operations.
- Responsible for ensuring that the finished goods leaving the factory premises are as per our company norms & comply with the FG specifications.
- Responsible for ensuring that the raw material and packaging material received from the approved vendors are as per the specifications laid down by us.
- Must have thorough knowledge of FSSAI, 5S, GMP, ISO standards, kaizen, and HACCP.
- Lead the team and ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures.
- Monitor the production process based on KPIs and identify the scope for improvement.
- Ensure that the plant runs without any deviations; analyze and resolve deviations, if any, and document the same.
- Drive the Quality & Food Safety culture across the plant.
- Monitor market complaints and take actions to resolve the same in coordination with the Production team.
- Ensure and comply with all relevant statutory requirements.
- Identify, plan, document, and manage the practices, activities, and resources needed to meet the Quality goals and objectives.
- Support the consumer response department in handling concerns related to product integrity.
- Carry out root cause analysis and corrective action plans for market complaints.
- Study and document shelf-life samples and take corrective action.
- Responsible for external audits and their compliance.
Requirements
- Must be B.Tech Foods from a reputed university.
- Must have 10–15 years of experience in the Food Industry, with prior experience in an FMCG company being mandatory.
- Must be a good team player and capable of leading a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Open to relocate to Bengaluru.
