We're Hiring: GeM Category Manager (AC | UPS | Battery)

About the Role We are looking for an experienced GeM Category Manager with a strong understanding of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing government tenders and categories related to Air Conditioners (AC), UPS, and Batteries. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end tender management, category growth, and ensuring successful participation in government procurement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow the AC, UPS, and Battery categories on the GeM portal.

Identify, analyze, and participate in relevant GeM tenders.

Prepare and submit bids with complete documentation within timelines.

Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and internal teams for pricing, technical specifications, and compliance.

Ensure product listings, catalog management, and updates on the GeM portal.

Monitor tender opportunities and government procurement trends.

Handle bid queries, clarifications, reverse auctions, and post-award documentation.

Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and maximize profitability.

Maintain records of bids, contracts,



and category performance.

Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments and business partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in GeM tender/category management.

Strong knowledge of the GeM Portal, tendering process, and government procurement policies.

Experience in handling AC, UPS, and Battery categories.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.

Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in government tender bidding and reverse auctions.

Strong vendor and OEM management skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent documentation abilities.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
