Job Summary: The Fire & Safety Manager takes absolute ownership of all fire and plant safety operations within the highly sensitive and inflammable perfumery manufacturing unit. This role demands a highly presentable, accountable leader who enforces zero-tolerance safety practices, ensures meticulous compliance with ISO standards, and maintains flawless safety documentation. The ideal candidate will act as the face of safety for the organization, driving a culture of awareness and strict compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fire Safety & Hazardous Material Management Flammable Chemical Safety: Take complete charge of the safe storage, handling, and movement of highly inflammable perfumery chemicals, solvents, and raw materials. Fire Prevention & Systems: Ensure 100% operational readiness of all fire protection systems, including various types of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, and smoke alarms. Mock Drills & Training: Plan and execute regular fire mock drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency response training for all plant employees and contract workers.
2. Standard Safety Practices & EQHS Management EQHS Integration: Lead and implement Environment, Quality, Health, and Safety (EQHS) protocols across the unit. (Proven experience handling complete EQHS systems is highly preferred). Safety Floor Walks: Conduct daily, rigorous shop-floor rounds to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Implement immediate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Permit to Work (PTW): Strictly enforce and monitor high-risk work permits, particularly Hot Work, Confined Space, and LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) procedures.

3. Audits, ISO Norms &

• Compliance Audit Readiness: Act as the lead coordinator for all internal and external safety audits. Ensure the plant strictly adheres to ISO 14001 (Environment)



and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health &

• Safety) norms.

Statutory Compliance: Ensure all state and national fire safety regulations are met, and valid NOCs and licenses are updated and maintained.

4. Safety Documentation Mastery Flawless Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, audit-ready safety documentation, including incident reports, near-miss logs, safety inspection checklists, and extinguisher refilling schedules.

SOP Creation: Draft, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for chemical handling and emergency responses.

5. Leadership, Ownership &

• Communication Accountability: Work with a high degree of independent ownership. Take full responsibility for safety outcomes without needing constant supervision. Presentability &

• Reporting: Represent the safety department with high professional presentability during management meetings and external auditor visits.

Bilingual Communication: Effectively communicate safety protocols, conduct training, and present reports seamlessly in both English and Hindi.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering, paired with a recognized Diploma in Fire &

• Safety Management (e.g., ADIS - Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety).

Required Certifications: IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH IGC is highly preferred. Certified training in First Aid and Fire Fighting is mandatory.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on safety experience, specifically within chemical, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or perfumery manufacturing environments dealing with hazardous materials.

Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; highly presentable, authoritative yet approachable, with a strong sense of skilled ownership.

Pay: ₹22,134.80 - ₹34,371.42 per month
