About The Role The Business Partner and Functional Expert role at Oracle is a critical position responsible for providing detailed analysis and strategic decision-making support to key stakeholders. This role involves collaborating closely with business units to facilitate the development and execution of future business strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess sales knowledge, particularly related to the sales cycle within software companies, along with expertise in expenses management and a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes, systems, and tools. The position requires a proactive approach to translating complex business requirements into actionable insights, supporting long-term planning, and driving operational efficiency. The role also involves participating in global process optimization initiatives, automating standard procedures, and mentoring junior analysts to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications Candidates should hold an MBA, CA, CIMA, or CMA qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial and business analysis. A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A;) is required, with a proven track record of delivering strategic insights and supporting business decision-making. Proficiency in analytical and Business Intelligence (BI) tools, along with expert-level skills in MS Office, is essential.
Experience with ERP and CRM systems will be advantageous.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities, adaptability to complex environments, and a focus on delivering measurable results are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities As a Business Partner and Functional Expert at Oracle, your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a co-pilot to business partners by providing strategic analysis and decision support tailored to specific business areas, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives.
- Owning end-to-end responsibilities for assigned tasks, offering dedicated support to particular business segments to facilitate seamless operations.
- Engaging with Global Business Functions (GBF), Business Operations, and other organizational units to execute deliverables such as forecast and budget reviews, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Providing expertise in defining and implementing organizational changes, including the Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA), to optimize business structures and reporting.
- Actively participating in Global Process Optimization (GPO) initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and standardization across the organization.
- Translating vague or ad hoc business requirements into detailed, productive analyses, including complex scenario building for long-range planning and competitive analysis.
- Interpreting ad hoc requests from the business, designing appropriate solutions to meet objectives, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Understanding key business drivers, defining relevant KPIs,
and incorporating them into reporting packages; regularly reviewing and updating KPIs to reflect changing business dynamics.
- Driving discussions, consolidating viewpoints, and effectively substituting for Finance Business Partners during their absence to ensure continuity.
- Leading and managing key initiatives and projects with periodic reviews, providing updates to stakeholders, and proactively implementing course corrections as necessary.
- Leading standardization and automation initiatives to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Mentoring analysts, designing training programs, and sharing best practices to foster career development within the team.
- Proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, proposing solutions to management, and championing continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
