Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand the client's business model, revenue streams, cost structure and operational-finance linkages.
- Map as-is finance processes and identify accounting, control, reporting, working-capital and system gaps.
- Design to-be finance processes covering order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory-to-costing, project-to-billing and record-to-report.
- Develop chart of accounts, cost centres, profit centres, project codes, dimensions, approval matrices and financial controls.
- Design manufacturing costing, project-costing, revenue-recognition and inventory-valuation frameworks.
- Structure P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, schedules, MIS, budgets, forecasts and management dashboards.
- Define AR, collections, credit-control, reconciliation, AP and payment-control processes.
- Prepare BRDs, functional requirements, report logic, test scenarios and acceptance criteria for finance-related ERP workflows.
- Coordinate with operational teams and developers to ensure financial controls are embedded in sales, purchase, inventory, production and project processes.
- Prepare and validate finance master data, opening balances, migration files and reconciliation reports.
- Plan and execute finance UAT, defect closure, cutover, user training, go-live and stabilization.
- Take ownership of both design and execution at client site under guidance within a live operational workplace.
- Maintain action trackers, decisions, risks, reconciliations and timely escalation to the Project Manager.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified CA / CMA / ACCA. MBA Finance may be considered only with strong hands-on finance transformation and industry experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience ipractical finance experience, including financial consulting, controllership, finance transformation, manufacturing finance, project finance or ERP-led finance improvement.
- Minimum 3 years in hands-on client-facing or cross-functional finance transformation work.
- Industry Experience mainly within Manufacturing and project-based SMEs requiring costing, inventory, cash-flow, revenue recognition and ERP finance structuring.
- Financial consulting / finance transformation / controllership experience with practical exposure to manufacturing, projects, contracting, trading or distribution businesses.
- Hands-on experience with leading ERP/accounting systems; advanced MS Excel; PowerPoint; financial modelling; budgeting and reporting tools; exposure to BI dashboards and project tracking tools.
Key Skills
- End-to-end finance structuring across accounting, controls, reporting, budgeting, cash flow and governance
- Strong understanding of linkages between Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Production, Projects, Delivery, HR and Finance
- Manufacturing costing, standard/actual costing, BOM or batch cost, overhead allocation and variance analysis
- Project costing, committed cost, work-in-progress, milestone billing and revenue recognition
- IFRS concepts and practical application in financial reporting
- Accounts receivable, collections, ageing, credit control and customer reconciliation
- Accounts payable, supplier reconciliation, three-way matching and payment controls • Inventory valuation, provisions, slow-moving stock, write-offs and stock reconciliation
- P&L;, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow structuring, schedules and management reporting • Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and rolling cash-flow planning
- Financial controls, approval matrices, segregation of duties and system locks
- ERP finance-process design, chart of accounts, dimensions, masters, workflows and integration testing
- BRD, functional requirement, report logic and acceptance-criteria preparation
- Data migration, opening balance validation, reconciliation and cutover support
- Strong analytical, communication, ownership and client-handling skills
Language Skills
Fluent at English (written and spoken)
Arabic or 2nd Languages will be considered a plus
Other Details
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday (9 hrs/day) 8:30 until 17:30 (flexibility during client deployments or based on the calendar week of client.
Location & Mobility: Currently based in Dubai, UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai, UAE/GCC as well be flexible for overseas travel for client deployments across GCC or related.
