SENIOR MERCHANDISER – WOMEN'S WOVEN GARMENTS

Rainbow International is looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser with strong experience in women's woven garments and garment exports.

The candidate should be capable of independently handling the complete merchandising cycle from buyer enquiry and product development through sampling, costing, production follow-up and final shipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle buyer communication and day-to-day correspondence independently.
- Understand buyer tech packs, specifications, mood boards and development requirements.
- Coordinate with the design and sampling teams for timely sample development.
- Follow up on development, fit, size-set, pre-production and approval samples.
- Prepare and follow Time & Action (T&A;) calendars for every order.
- Prepare garment costings and understand fabric/trims consumption and pricing.
- Coordinate fabric, trims, labels and accessories sourcing and approvals.
- Maintain complete records of buyer comments and ensure all comments are implemented correctly.
- Coordinate with Pattern Master, Sampling, Cutting, Production, QC and Finishing departments.
- Conduct pre-production meetings before bulk production.
- Ensure approved samples, measurement sheets and buyer comments are available to production.
- Monitor production progress daily and highlight delays immediately.
- Ensure production is executed according to buyer specifications and approved samples.
- Check measurements,



workmanship, trims, labels, packing and buyer requirements along with QC.
- Coordinate final inspection, packing and shipment readiness.
- Ensure orders are completed and dispatched within committed shipment dates.
- Maintain style-wise files containing all approvals, comments, specifications and production information.
- Identify problems early and coordinate corrective action rather than waiting until shipment stage.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 5–8 years' experience in a garment export house.
- Robust experience in women's woven garments.
- Good knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, patterns, stitching, trims and production processes.
- Strong knowledge of garment costing and consumption.
- Ability to understand measurement/specification sheets and tech packs.
- Experience handling international buyers preferred.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Solid follow-up and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of Excel, email and Microsoft Office.
- Must be organised, responsible and capable of handling multiple styles/orders simultaneously.
- Should be comfortable working closely with sampling and factory production teams.

MOST IMPORTANT

We are looking for a hands-on merchandiser, not only an office coordinator.

The candidate should take ownership of an order from development → sampling → approvals → production → QC → packing → shipment and ensure that mistakes and delays are identified before they become problems.

Salary: ₹40,000–₹55,000 per month, depending upon experience and capability.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
