- Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC and VMC machines as per production requirements.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions.

Set up fixtures, tools, and workpieces on CNC/VMC machines.

Operate machines equipped with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.

Run production jobs on Makino and DMG Mori machining centers.

Perform tool offset adjustments and basic program editing when required.

Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments.

Monitor machine performance and maintain dimensional accuracy of components.

Identify and report machine abnormalities, tool wear, and quality issues.

Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

Maintain daily production records and machine logs.

Follow TPM, 5S, and workplace safety procedures.

Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams for smooth operations.

- Required Skills & Knowledge:

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with:

Makino CNC/VMC Machines

DMG Mori Machining Centers

Knowledge of CNC Controllers:

Fanuc

Heidenhain

Ability to read and understand GD&T; symbols and engineering drawings.

Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, feeds, and speeds.

Basic CNC program understanding and editing capabilities.

Experience with fixture setup and work holding methods.

Understanding of machining processes such as drilling, milling, tapping, boring, and contour machining.

- Quality & Inspection Skills

Proficient in using:

Vernier Calipers

Micrometers

Height Gauges

Bore Gauges





Dial Indicators

Ability to perform dimensional inspection and maintain quality documentation.

- Soft Skills

Valuable problem-solving and analytical ability.

Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and reporting skills.

Willingness to work in shifts.

- Education Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, Production Engineering, or related field.

Certification in CNC/VMC operation is preferred.

- Work Experience

Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in CNC/VMC machine operation.

Experience operating Makino and/or DMG Mori machines is mandatory/preferred.

Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controllers.

Exposure to precision machining and high-volume manufacturing environments.
