- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
- Analyze project risks and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients
- Maintain cost databases and update pricing information
- Prepare and submit bid proposals within deadlines
- Monitor project costs and compare actual vs estimated expenses
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
