Job Summary

The English & EVS Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and child-friendly learning environment for primary students. The teacher will develop students' English language skills while fostering curiosity and awareness about the world around them through Environmental Studies (EVS). The role focuses on building robust communication skills, reading habits, creativity, and environmental consciousness.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging English and EVS lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Develop students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through interactive and activity-based teaching.
- Teach English grammar, vocabulary, phonics, comprehension, creative writing, and spoken English appropriate to the primary level.
- Introduce EVS concepts such as:
- My Family and My School
- Plants and Animals
- Food and Nutrition
- Our Community and Helpers
- Seasons and Weather
- Transport and Communication
- Water, Air, and Environment
- Cleanliness, Health, and Safety
- Encourage observation, inquiry, and experiential learning through projects, storytelling, nature walks, and classroom activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments,



and teaching-learning materials.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Foster creativity, confidence, teamwork, and good values among students.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Support the overall academic and holistic development of students.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. is preferred or required as per school policy.

Skills Required

- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong knowledge of primary English and EVS curriculum.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to use storytelling, phonics, games, and activity-based teaching methods.
- Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office and educational technology.

Experience

- 1–3 years of teaching experience in a primary school is preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication skills and a passion for teaching young learners may also apply.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
