Position: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Prabhu Multi-Speciality Hospital & Polyclinic, Pollachi

Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing respiratory care services to patients with breathing disorders, managing ventilators, assisting in critical care procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care in ICU, ER, and other clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen delivery systems.
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulization, and aerosol treatments as prescribed.
- Assist physicians during intubation, extubation, bronchoscopy, and emergency procedures.
- Monitor patient respiratory status and document clinical observations.
- Collect and assist in interpretation of Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) samples.
- Manage ventilator settings as per physician instructions.
- Provide respiratory care in ICU, Emergency Department, OT, and wards.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding respiratory therapy and equipment use.
- Ensure infection control practices while handling respiratory equipment.
- Maintain records, reports,



and equipment maintenance logs.
- Participate in Code Blue and emergency response teams.

Qualification

- B.Sc. Respiratory Therapy / Bachelor of Respiratory Care Technology (BRCT)
- Diploma in Respiratory Therapy (preferred for junior positions)

Experience

- Fresher to 7+ years of experience
- Experience in ICU, NICU, PICU, Emergency, or Critical Care preferred
