About the Company:

Meenatchi Enterprises LLP is a growing waste management and recycling company operating across Tamil Nadu with facilities in Madurai, Chennai, and Kancheepuram. Our business spans plastic scrap, lead acid battery scrap, e-waste, and copper scrap — covering both domestic sourcing and international trade. As we scale, we are looking for a senior leader to take ownership of our entire Chennai operations.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Head to lead end-to-end operations covering raw material sourcing, processing, sales of scrap and recycled granules, P&L; ownership, and team leadership. This is a high-autonomy role reporting directly to the Designated Partner, with full authority to scale operations, build the team, and drive growth across plastic, battery, and e-waste verticals.

Key Responsibilities:

P&L; & Strategy

- Own complete P&L; for the Chennai unit across plastic, battery, and e-waste verticals
- Build annual operating plans, set sourcing and sales targets, and drive margin growth
- Identify new business opportunities — domestic sourcing corridors, import partnerships, B2B sales channels

Procurement Leadership

- Lead procurement of plastic scrap, virgin/recycled resin, battery scrap, and e-waste
- Develop and manage supplier networks — dealers, industries, aggregators, overseas exporters
- Oversee import procurement (UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia corridors)
- Negotiate large-volume deals and long-term supplier contracts

Sales & Customer Management

- Drive sales of recycled plastic granules to manufacturers and converters
- Manage lead ingot sales, battery scrap trading,



and e-waste channel sales
- Build relationships with smelters, plastic converters, and institutional buyers
- Track market prices (LME, domestic resin, scrap rates) and optimise sell timing

Operations & Compliance

- Oversee warehouse operations, segregation, processing, and dispatch

Team Leadership

- Build and lead a team of executives, supervisors, sorters, and field staff
- Implement SOPs, KPIs, and MIS reporting frameworks
- Drive a performance culture across sourcing, operations, and sales
- Ensure full compliance with CPCB/TNPCB, hazardous waste rules, EPR, and DGFT import norms
- Manage logistics, vendor payments, and working capital deployment

Requirements:

- 8–15 years of progressive experience in recycling, waste management, plastic processing, or scrap trading
- Proven P&L; ownership in a recycling or industrial trading business
- Strong technical knowledge across plastic grades (PP, HDPE, ABS, PET, Nylon, PC), battery scrap, and e-waste
- Experience in domestic and international procurement
- Track record of building supplier and customer networks from scratch
- Solid commercial acumen — margin management, pricing, working capital, negotiation
- Working knowledge of CPCB/TNPCB, EPR, DGFT,



and hazardous waste compliance
- Team leadership experience — proven ability to build and run a 20+ person team
- Hands-on leadership style — comfortable in the field, at the warehouse, and in front of customers
- Fluency in English and Tamil; additional languages a plus

Preferred Background:

- Worked at established recycling firms, plastic processors, battery recyclers, or e-waste handlers

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
