About Lighthouse Communities Foundation

Lighthouse Communities Foundation works to create socio-economic mobility for underserved youth through skilling and livelihood opportunities.

Our Lighthouse centres operate through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, bringing together government bodies, corporates, NGOs, and communities to create sustainable employment pathways for young people.

The program currently works across multiple cities and states including Pune, PCMC, Dombivli, Aurangabad, Delhi, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Hyderabad, reaching youth from hundreds of underserved communities.

About the Role

The Outreach Coordinator plays a key role in connecting communities with the Lighthouse Centre by driving community mobilization, youth enrollment, and engagement.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with communities, building trust with youth and families, and driving participation in transformational programs.

Key Responsibilities

Community Mobilization & Enrolment

- Mobilize eligible youth into Foundation Courses and skilling programs.
- Support student enrolment aligned with program goals.
- Build strong one-on-one connections with students to encourage attendance and program completion.

Community & Parent Engagement

- Build relationships with parents, families, and community members.
- Conduct home visits when required to support student retention.
- Organize parent meetings and community engagement activities.




- Collaborate with local NGOs and community groups to expand outreach.

Outreach Activities

- Plan and execute outreach campaigns and community events.
- Promote Lighthouse programs and encourage youth participation.

Data Management & Coordination

- Maintain outreach dashboards, master sheets, and mapping tools.
- Coordinate closely with the Centre Head and internal teams.
- Support centre operations and placement-related activities.

Student Leadership Development

- Mentor students to become Lighthouse leaders within their communities.
- Encourage youth to pursue career opportunities and skill development.

Eligibility & Experience

- Graduate or Postgraduate degree (MSW preferred)
- 2+ years of Experience in community mobilization, youth engagement, or grassroots development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working in community settings and traveling locally

Skills Required

- Strong relationship-building skills
- Valuable communication and community engagement abilities
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (GIS knowledge is an added advantage)
- Empathetic, proactive, and self-driven approach
