Executive-Forging Process Engineering is responsible for designing and developing forging processes and tooling that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements by optimizing material flow, die design and process parameters while supporting manufacturing operations to improve yield, reduce defects and control costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review forging manufacturing feasibility and customer drawings.
- Forging cost estimation with optimum resource utilization.
- Prepare forging process sheets and drawings for day-to-day production requirements.
- Design forging dies and tooling based on defined process parameters.
- Conduct forging simulations and validate designs to minimize defects and rework.
- Analyse production and trial data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance die life, yield, and productivity.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
- Maintain design and process documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Lead process improvements to minimize forging defects, enhance yield and optimize equipment utilization.
- Prepare and maintain shift documentation, log sheets and audit records.
- Carry out SAP activities for material transfer, production tracking and reporting.
- Support audits,
evaluate forging non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions and process improvements.
