Role: Data Scientist

Location: Chennai

Company: A leading manufacturing company based out of India

Required years of experience: 4-9 years

Key responsibilities:

- Acquire data from varied business systems internal and external, as required by the business, cleanse them and process the same to ensure quality, consistency and integrity.
- Design data pipelines and provide oversight on designing data lakes by ingesting data from diverse sources.
- Visualize data using appropriate tools preferably PowerBi and ability to identify trends and insights.
- Perform statistical analysis where required to understand data patterns and relationships.
- Develop and implement predictive models using various machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering).




- Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, AUC).
- Fine-tune model parameters to optimize results.
- Deploy models into production environments for real-time predictions.
- Continuously monitor model performance and update as needed to address data drift.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business stakeholders, engineers) to understand business needs and translate data insights into actionable strategies.
- Present findings clearly and concisely through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
