Job Description – Nursing Superintendent

Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing (Mandatory)

- Lead and supervise all nursing services to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily nursing operations across all departments.
- Ensure adequate nursing staff deployment and prepare duty rosters.
- Monitor nursing performance and provide guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, infection control protocols, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with consultants, medical officers, and other departments for seamless patient care.
- Oversee patient safety initiatives and ensure adherence to nursing protocols.
- Conduct regular nursing audits and implement quality improvement measures.
- Manage nursing documentation, incident reporting, and clinical records.




- Handle patient and attendant concerns related to nursing services in a professional manner.
- Ensure availability and proper utilization of nursing equipment, medications, and consumables.
- Participate in recruitment, orientation, performance appraisal, and retention of nursing staff.
- Organize continuous nursing education (CNE), skill development programs, and competency assessments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
