POSITION SUMMARY:

BOT VFX, a visual effects services company with global clients, is looking for a Senior Digital Matte Painting (DMP) Artist as a full-time Permanent role. The position is based out of Chennai .

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

- Developing highly realistic matte paintings that seamlessly integrate with live-action footage or CG elements.
- Creating visually stunning compositions while applying a deep understanding of color theory and perspective.
- Employing advanced 2D and 2.5D projection techniques to achieve realistic depth in digital environments.
- Collaborating closely with the Compositing, 3D, and other 2D departments to ensure artistic consistency.
- Working within Nuke compositing software to implement matte paintings into the final production pipeline.
- Utilizing Shotgrid (Shotgun) daily for effective project management, task tracking, and asset organization.




- Managing individual workflows effectively to meet strict project deadlines within a high-pressure environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Minimum of 3 years of skilled experience working on high-end film or episodic TV VFX projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Photoshop with a strong portfolio showcasing realistic environment creation.
- Extensive knowledge of DMP workflows, including sophisticated 2.5D projection setups in Nuke.
- Familiarity with Shotgrid (Shotgun) for asset tracking and production management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.
- Strong time management abilities and a dedication to delivering high-quality visual work under deadlines.
- Solid understanding of composition principles, lighting, and cinematic storytelling.
