Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and production resources.
- Monitor CNC machines, hydraulic presses, cutting machines, and other production equipment used in gasket manufacturing.
- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Purchase, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance departments for smooth production flow.
- Prepare daily production plans based on customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Monitor machine productivity, cycle times, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
- Reduce production losses, material wastage, rejection, and rework through continuous process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with approved process parameters, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, machine utilization reports, and DWM (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) reports.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance department for preventive maintenance and machine breakdown resolution.
- Ensure proper implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Verify raw material availability before production and report shortages.




- Ensure proper handling, storage, and identification of work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production losses and implement corrective actions.
- Support current product development, process trials, and production validation activities.
- Ensure all employees follow safety rules and use the required PPE.
- Train operators and production staff on machine operation, safety, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and implement audit observations.
- Ensure production activities comply with ISO and customer quality requirements.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Automobile Engineering.

Experience

- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in gasket manufacturing, automotive components, CNC machining, sheet metal, or engineering products is preferred.
