Position: PGT / Junior Biology Teacher

Department: Science (Biology)

Location: Narayana Etechno school, Namakkal

Reports To: Principal / Academic Coordinator

Job Summary

The PGT / Junior Biology Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective Biology lessons to senior secondary students, fostering scientific thinking, and preparing students for board examinations and competitive exams where applicable. The teacher should create a positive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver Biology lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare annual lesson plans, unit plans, and daily teaching schedules.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions while ensuring laboratory safety.
- Assess student performance through assignments, tests, projects, and examinations.
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and remedial support to students.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Prepare students for board examinations and encourage participation in science exhibitions, Olympiads, and other academic activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents,



and school management to support student progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
- Maintain discipline and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

- Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Biology, Botany, Zoology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution.
- Relevant teaching experience is preferred.
- Robust subject knowledge and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience preparing students for NEET or other competitive examinations is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
