About the Role

The Program Coordinator will support the implementation of Kalike's Experiential and Project-Based Learning (PBL) Program across 10–15 schools. The role involves mentoring teachers, demonstrating child-centred teaching practices, facilitating project-based learning experiences, strengthening classroom processes, monitoring implementation, and collaborating with school leaders and education department officials to improve children's learning outcomes and 21st-century skills.

Key Responsibilities

School Support

- Support 10–15 assigned schools on a regular basis.
- Conduct planned school visits and provide in office academic support.
- Build strong relationships with Head Teachers and teachers.
- Ensure quality implementation of experiential and project-based learning activities.
- Support schools in integrating experiential and project-based learning into regular classroom teaching.

Teacher Mentoring

- Mentor teachers on activity-based, experiential, project-based, and child-centred pedagogies.
- Demonstrate classroom sessions and co-teach where required.
- Guide teachers in planning and facilitating interdisciplinary projects aligned with curriculum outcomes.
- Support teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and project facilitation.
- Help teachers create and effectively use Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) and locally available resources.
- Build teachers' capacity to assess student learning through projects, portfolios, presentations, and reflective activities.

Classroom Observation

- Observe classroom practices using structured observation tools.




- Provide constructive feedback and follow-up support.
- Monitor student engagement, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and participation during experiential and project-based activities.
- Support continuous improvement of classroom practices through mentoring.

Capacity Building

- Facilitate teacher orientations, workshops, and cluster-level meetings.
- Organize demonstration classes, project exhibitions, and peer-learning sessions.
- Build teachers' capacity in experiential learning methodologies, project design, facilitation, and assessment.
- Support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) among teachers for sharing best practices and innovations.

Monitoring & Documentation

- Maintain school visit reports, mentoring records, and action plans.
- Collect implementation data using digital tools (e.g., Kobo or similar applications).
- Track progress of classroom projects and experiential learning implementation.
- Document success stories, innovative classroom practices, challenges, and best practices.
- Prepare monthly progress reports and implementation updates.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Coordinate with Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs), Block Resource Persons (BRPs), and Block Education officials.
- Engage School Development and Monitoring Committees (SDMCs), parents, and community members in supporting experiential and project-based learning initiatives.
- Facilitate community participation in project presentations, exhibitions,



and school learning events where appropriate.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or any relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. or Master's degree is desirable.

Experience

- 3–5 years of experience working with children in schools or NGOs.
- Experience in experiential learning, project-based learning (PBL), activity-based learning, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), child-centred education, or teacher training is preferred.
- Experience working with NGOs, education projects, or development organizations is an added advantage.

Skills

- Strong understanding of child development, experiential learning, and project-based learning methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation, teacher mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Ability to design, facilitate, and monitor classroom projects that promote critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication, and problem-solving.
- Good communication skills in Kannada; working knowledge of English is desirable.
- Ability to build positive relationships with schools and government stakeholders.
- Strong planning, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital data collection tools.

Other Requirements

- Willingness to travel extensively to approximately 10–15 schools.
- Valid two-wheeler driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned district.
- Passion for improving children's learning outcomes through experiential and project-based learning approaches.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school teams and education stakeholders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
