Product Developer - Agentic SaaS (AI-First, UX-Led)About the Role
We're looking for a product-minded developer to help us build an agentic SaaS system - software where AI agents do real work for real users, not demos.
This is our second developer hire, so you'll be joining a small team early. You'll own features end to end: thinking through the flow, designing the interface, writing the code, and shaping the data underneath it. If you like being the person who takes a rough idea and turns it into something people can actually use, this role will fit.
The two things we care most about: you build well, and you have real judgment about how software should feel to use. Solid engineers who are indifferent to UX won't be a fit here, and neither will designers who can't ship.
What You'll Work On
1. Agentic SaaS Product Development (Primary Focus)
You'll be building and iterating on our core product - an AI-driven system that automates meaningful chunks of SEO and content workflows.
This includes:
- Designing and shipping product features from brief to production
- Building agent workflows: multi-step task execution, tool use, human-in-the-loop checkpoints
- Integrating LLM APIs and reasoning about prompts, context, retries, failure modes, and cost
- Handling the unglamorous parts well - error states, rate limits, partial failures, long-running jobs
- Building internal tooling that makes the rest of the team faster
- CI/CD using Vercel, GitHub Actions, and Docker is a plus.
- Experience with system design and job queues
AI proficiency is not optional here. We expect you to be genuinely fluent with modern AI development tools and to use them daily. Specifically:
- Claude Code - for building, refactoring, debugging, and shipping
- Claude Cowork - for research, analysis, and multi-step knowledge work
- General comfort with agentic coding workflows, MCP servers/connectors, and LLM API work
If you've built something agentic on your own - even small, even scrappy - tell us about it. That matters more to us than years on a résumé.
2. UX & Product Thinking
You'll be responsible for how the product feels, not just whether it works.
- Translating requirements into clear user flows and information architecture
- Designing interfaces that are legible under complexity - agentic products fail most often at explaining what the agent is doing and why
- Building states people actually need: loading, empty, error, in-progress, review, undo
- Strong visual sense - spacing, hierarchy, typography, restraint
- Comfort with a design tool (Figma or similar) and with building directly in code
This isn't a "hand it to design" role. You'll make most of these calls yourself.
3. Data & Database Management
- Schema design and data modeling for a product that will grow in scope
- Writing efficient queries; knowing when and how to index
- Migrations, backups,
and not losing people's data
- Experience with a relational database is required; familiarity with vector stores or hybrid search is a plus
- Understanding of different database platforms like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Supabase, etc.
4. Bonus: Cybersecurity (Big Plus)
Agentic systems have a wider attack surface than normal apps, and we take that seriously.
Bonus skills include:
- Auth, session handling, and access control done properly
- Secrets management and API key hygiene
- Basics of git and GitHub and their best practices
- Awareness of prompt injection, tool-use abuse, and data-exfiltration risks in agentic systems (understanding of dev tools and their pros and cons and how to shelter data in the Networks tab.)
- General web security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10, input validation, dependency hygiene)
5. Bonus: Analytics & Tracking
If you have analytics experience, that's an advantage:
- GA4, Google Tag Manager (event and conversion tracking, custom triggers), Google Search Console
- Setting up product analytics: funnels, activation, retention, feature usage
- Building dashboards and reports that the team will actually read
6. Occasional: CRO Pages
Some of the time, you may still build service pages, landing pages, or feature pages using content and templates we provide. This is a secondary part of the role, but a conversion-first mindset - clear hierarchy, visible CTAs, scannable sections - should be second nature.
