Roles and Responsibilites:

Production Planning & Operations

- Plan, organize, and monitor day-to-day production activities to meet output targets and delivery schedules
- Develop and implement production schedules aligned with raw material availability, plant capacity, and customer demand
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials to maximize production efficiency
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, yield, throughput, and downtime

Process Optimization & Quality Control

- Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma methodologies)
- Ensure all processes comply with established SOPs, GMP standards, and ISO/quality management systems
- Collaborate with the QA/QC team to maintain product quality and address non-conformances
- Drive reduction in waste, rework, and production losses through systematic root cause analysis

Safety, Health & Workplace (SHE)

- Champion a strong safety culture across the production floor; ensure compliance with HSE regulations and factory acts
- Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments for all production activities
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals in line with MSDS guidelines and PCPIR norms
- Investigate near-misses and incidents; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Team Management & Development

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of shift supervisors, operators, and technicians
- Plan manpower requirements, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs
- Foster a culture of accountability, discipline,



and continuous learning within the team

Maintenance Coordination & Inventory

- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize unplanned stoppages
- Monitor and manage raw material, intermediate, and finished goods inventory in coordination with procurement and stores
- Participate in plant shutdown planning and ensure timely recommissioning of equipment

Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production MIS reports to senior management
- Liaise with R&D;, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams for new product trials and scale-ups
- Participate in management review meetings and contribute to budgeting and cost control initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

- B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized university
- Postgraduate qualification (M.E. / MBA in Operations / Production Management) will be an added advantage
- Relevant certifications in Safety (NEBOSH/IOSH), Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt), or Quality Management Systems are desirable

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- 4 to 5 years of total work experience in a production/manufacturing role within the chemical industry
- Hands-on experience in process chemicals, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, dyes & intermediates, agrochemicals, or similar sectors
- Proven track record of managing production teams of 20+ people in a shift-based manufacturing environment
- Candidates with experience at plants located in MIDC Patalganga, MIDC, or nearby industrial clusters will be preferred
