India

Position: Project Coordinator – Preventive Health Pilot ("Medicasa")
Organisation: EMPBindi International Association
Location: Kishangarh, Rajasthan (field-based, with local travel)
Duration: 1 year, fixed-term (pilot). Possibility of permanent engagement based on pilot outcomes and performance.
Compensation: INR 20,000–25,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Reports to: Director – Enterprise & Market Programmes

About the pilot
Bindi's Preventive Healthcare pilot shifts rural care from episodic, reactive treatment to continuous, doorstep prevention. A trusted, women-led community health workforce captures vitals and screens households for non-communicable diseases (blood pressure, diabetes), maternal and child health, and common illnesses; a low-bandwidth platform connects them to doctors for tele-consultation and e-prescription; and essential medicines are fulfilled locally. The one-year pilot will establish the model across a cluster of villages before scaling.

Role purpose
The Project Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day delivery of the pilot on the ground — mobilising the community, supporting the frontline workforce, coordinating with health and supply partners, and ensuring clean data and reporting. This is the operational anchor between the field and the programme leadership.

Key responsibilities

- Field rollout: plan and execute household registration and screening across pilot villages, tracking coverage against targets.
- Workforce support: assist in recruiting, training and supervising community health workers (drawn from local self-help groups); monitor protocol adherence and workload.
- Partner coordination: liaise with tele-consultation doctors, diagnostic and pharmacy partners (including Jan Aushadhi Kendras) to keep consults, prescriptions and medicine fulfilment on track.
- Government & ecosystem liaison:

coordinate with PHCs/Health & Wellness Centres and the ASHA/ANM cadre for referrals and joint reporting, avoiding duplication of effort.
- Protocol & referral compliance: ensure red-flag identification and referral pathways (SOPs, follow-up within 48 hours) are followed and documented.
- Data & reporting: oversee accurate, timely field data capture on the project platform; prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for programme leadership.
- Logistics & inventory: support diagnostic-kit and medicine stock management (stock counts, expiry tracking, replenishment).
- Community engagement: build trust with households and local institutions to drive participation and follow-up compliance.

Eligibility

- Graduate or postgraduate in Social Work, Rural Management, Public Administration, Development Studies, Public Health, Sociology, or an allied discipline.
- Freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Fluency in Hindi and comfort working directly with rural communities.
- Willingness to be based in Kishangarh and travel locally to field sites.

Preferred skills

- Strong coordination, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic digital and data literacy (smartphone apps, spreadsheets, simple reporting).
- Interest in public health, rural development, or health-technology.
- A two-wheeler licence is an advantage.

What we offer

- A ground-floor role in an innovative rural health-technology pilot with real ownership.
- Direct exposure to community health delivery, partnerships and programme operations.
- A transparent pathway to a permanent role on successful completion of the pilot.
