Job description:

Procurement Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Issue purchase orders and track timely delivery of materials.
- Develop alternate supplier sources to mitigate risk.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate performance periodically.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory regulations.

2. Inventory & Store Management:

- Monitor inventory levels and maintain minimum stock to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with production, planning, and design teams for timely availability of materials.

3. Cost Control & Budgeting:

- Optimize procurement costs without compromising quality and timelines.




- Forecast procurement requirements based on production schedules and historical data.
- Ensure alignment with the annual procurement budget.

4. ERP/Software Utilization:

- Manage inventory and procurement modules in ERP software.

5. Audit & Compliance:

- Facilitate internal and external audits of purchase records.
- Ensure that storage practices adhere to safety, fire, and environmental norms.

6. Team Leadership:

- Manage and supervise a purchase assistant.
- Provide training, performance feedback, and motivate the team to meet department goals.
