Fashion Designer cum Merchandiser

Department : Design & Merchandising

Location : Khar Road, Mumbai

Salary : ₹18,000 – ₹25,000

Reports To : Management

Job Summary The Fashion Designer cum Merchandiser is responsible for developing cutting-edge Men's Wear designs while managing merchandising activities from product development to final delivery. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Fashion Designing

- Develop creative and commercially viable Men's Wear designs.
- Research fashion trends, fabrics, colours, trims, and accessories.
- Prepare sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications.
- Coordinate with CAD, Pattern, and Sampling teams during product development.
- Review garment samples and recommend necessary design improvements.

Merchandising

- Manage customer orders from confirmation to final delivery.
- Generate work orders and maintain production documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, CAD, Pattern, and Store teams.
- Follow up with suppliers and vendors for fabrics, trims, accessories, printing, embroidery, washing, and finishing.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely execution.

Inventory & ERP





- Monitor fabric and raw material inventory.
- Prepare weekly inventory reports.
- Update order and production details in the ERP system.
- Maintain accurate design and production records.

Quality & Coordination

- Ensure products meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors for smooth workflow.
- Support continuous improvement in product development and merchandising processes.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Designing.
- Additional certification in Fashion Merchandising will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Fresher or 1–3 years of experience.
- Experience in the Men's Wear Garment Industry will be preferred.
