Factory Manager (Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing)

Position: Factory Manager

Department: Manufacturing & Operations

Reporting To: Operations Head

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager with robust expertise in Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing to lead end-to-end factory operations. The role requires hands-on technical knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, wiring, testing, and commissioning of industrial electrical and automation panels, along with responsibility for production planning, quality, dispatch, and achieving monthly production and invoicing targets.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Manufacturing

- Lead manufacturing of LV/MV Electrical Panels, PCC, MCC, PLC, VFD, SCADA, Telecom, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, and Automation Panels.
- Interpret and verify SLDs, GA Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, Schematics, Panel Layouts, and BOMs.
- Supervise fabrication, assembly, wiring, busbar fabrication, testing, FAT, and final inspection.
- Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with IEC standards and customer specifications.

Production & Operations

- Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Ensure timely production, dispatch, and achievement of monthly invoicing targets.
- Optimize manpower, machine utilization, and production efficiency.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Stores, and Logistics.

Team Management

- Lead and mentor Factory Supervisors, Electricians, Fitters, Fabricators, Wiremen, Test Engineers, and Stores teams.
- Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure discipline, safety, and skill development.





Quality & Safety

- Ensure zero-defect manufacturing through in-process inspections and final testing.
- Supervise IR, Hi-Pot, Functional, PLC I/O, Communication Testing, and FAT.
- Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing, HSE, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Competencies

Panel Manufacturing

Hands-on expertise in manufacturing and testing of:

- PCC, MCC, PLC, VFD, SCADA, RTU, DCS, AMF, Synchronizing, UPS, Telecom, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Distribution Boards, and Industrial Automation Panels.

Electrical Systems

Strong knowledge of

- LV/MV Switchgear
- ACB, MCCB, MCB, Contactors, Relays
- Busbar Systems
- Power Distribution
- Motor Control
- Protection Systems
- Earthing & Grounding

Drawings & Testing

- SLD, GA, Wiring Diagrams, Control Schematics, BOM, Cable Schedules
- Continuity, IR, Hi-Pot, Functional Testing, FAT & Customer Inspection

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing.
