The EXIM Manager will be responsible for managing the organization's end-to-end import and export operations, ensuring compliance with DGFT regulations, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), FEMA, RBI, and other applicable statutory requirements. The role requires strong expertise in export incentive schemes, customs documentation, international logistics, trade compliance, and coordination with government authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHA, and overseas customers.

The incumbent will ensure timely shipment execution, maximize export incentives, optimize logistics costs, and maintain full statutory compliance for all import and export transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Export & Import Operations

- Manage end-to-end import and export operations from order receipt to final shipment and delivery.
- Ensure timely execution of export and import shipments while complying with customer requirements and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, and Logistics teams for seamless shipment execution.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely dispatch of export consignments.

DGFT & Foreign Trade Policy Compliance
- Manage all DGFT-related activities and ensure compliance with the latest Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).
- Handle applications, renewals, amendments, and closure of:

- Advance Authorization (Advance License)

- EPCG Scheme

- RODTEP

- Duty Drawback

- Star Export House Certification

- Import Export Code (IEC)
- Registration Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC)
- Any other export promotion or incentive schemes applicable under the Foreign Trade Policy.
- Coordinate with DGFT authorities for approvals, clarifications, and compliance matters.
- Monitor export obligations under Advance Authorization and EPCG schemes.

Documentation & Customs Compliance
- Prepare, review, and verify all import and export documentation, including:

- Commercial Invoice

- Packing List

- Shipping Bill

- Bill of Entry




- Bill of Lading / Airway Bill

- Certificate of Origin

- Insurance Documents

- Letter of Credit (LC)
- Bank Realization Certificate (e-BRC)

- Export General Manifest (EGM)
- Phytosanitary and Health Certificates (where applicable)
- Ensure documentation accuracy for customs clearance and international trade compliance.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters.

Export Incentive Management
- Maximize advantages under export incentive schemes available through DGFT and Government of India.
- Prepare and submit applications for export incentives within prescribed timelines.
- Track incentive claims and ensure timely realization.
- Maintain records supporting incentive audits and government verifications.

Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:

- DGFT Regulations

- Customs Act

- Foreign Trade Policy (FTP)

- FEMA

- RBI Guidelines
- GST related to exports and imports
- Coordinate with statutory authorities and regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
- Stay updated on changes in trade policies and communicate their business impact.

International Logistics Management
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and logistics partners.
- Monitor freight costs and recommend cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure timely booking of containers and vessel schedules.
- Track shipment movement until final delivery.

Banking & Trade Finance
- Coordinate with banks for:

- Letter of Credit (LC)

- Bank Guarantees

- Export Bills
- Import Payments
- e-BRC

- Foreign Remittance Documentation
- Ensure timely submission of export documents to banks.

Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly EXIM MIS reports.
- Maintain shipment status reports, incentive tracking reports, and compliance dashboards.
- Analyze logistics costs, shipment performance, and export incentive realization.

Team Management
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Drive process improvements and digitalization in EXIM operations.
