Job Summary The Incoming Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of incoming components by driving supplier quality improvements and strengthening inspection processes. The role focuses on reducing quality issues across manufacturing and field performance through effective supplier collaboration, data-driven problem solving, and robust quality assurance practices. The individual will play a key role in improving lot acceptance rates, reducing line rejections, and enhancing incoming quality capabilities.

What will you do?

- Improve Lot Acceptance Rate (LAR) by collaborating with suppliers to resolve part quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Reduce Line Rejection Numbers (LRN) through proactive part rejection analysis, supplier follow-ups, and implementation of countermeasures.
- Lower Field Complaint Ratio (FCR) by strengthening incoming inspection processes and enhancing failure analysis techniques.
- Conduct weekly review meetings with suppliers to track open quality concerns and drive timely issue resolution.
- Monitor and verify daily vendor rejections on the shop floor and initiate corrective actions.
- Perform detailed analysis of quality issues arising from Field, Outgoing Quality Audit (OQA), and Line Quality Audit (LQA), and drive permanent corrective actions.
- Develop and implement jigs, fixtures, and testing setups for accurate incoming part inspections.
- Prepare and maintain inspection plans for all critical incoming components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Enhance Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) laboratory capabilities,



including calibration and upgradation of inspection instruments and equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier quality and incoming inspection processes.

What are we looking for?

- Strong understanding and application of the 7 QC Tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Hands-on knowledge of measurement systems and quality inspection methodologies.
- Experience in Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Proficiency in using quality inspection instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Roughness Testers.
- Knowledge of incoming quality processes, supplier quality management, and failure analysis techniques.
- Experience in manpower handling and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
- Relevant experience in Incoming Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Quality roles is preferred.
