Role Description The Event Reporter – Intern will be responsible for covering startup events, meetups, and conferences in office in New Delhi. Day-to-day tasks include attending events, conducting interviews with founders and stakeholders, capturing key insights and moments, and preparing concise, engaging reports for publication on Startup Story®’s platforms. The intern will assist in gathering background information on featured startups, coordinating with the editorial team, and ensuring accurate, timely coverage of relevant happenings in the startup ecosystem.





This internship role also involves collaborating with media and content teams to support social media posts, short write-ups, and basic multimedia documentation related to events. The position is an on-site internship based in New Delhi, requiring regular presence at events and team meetings.

Qualifications

Strong reporting and writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging event summaries and interviews.

Basic research and fact-checking abilities to prepare for events and understand startup and entrepreneurship topics.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interviewing founders, speakers, and attendees.

Comfort with on-site event coverage, including note-taking, time management, and working in dynamic environments.

Interest in startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship, especially within India’s emerging ecosystems.

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in journalism, mass communication, business, or a related field is preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively with editorial and media teams and follow established guidelines and timelines.

Willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt to changing event schedules and content needs.
