A brokerage firm building out its proprietary trading desk is hiring an ETF Market Trader. Skilled fresh candidates are also welcome to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Actively track and trade ETFs across equity, gold, debt and international categories on NSE and BSE; quote both sides, monitor liquidity and manage spreads in real time
- Execute arbitrage opportunities between the ETF and the underlying basket or index; track NAV premiums and discounts and align with fair value
- Stick to position limits, manage inventory and control execution slippage with real-time awareness of bid-ask spreads, execution impact and trading costs
- Use APIs, custom tools and real-time dashboards to manage trades; monitor volume spikes, news-based volatility and macro triggers such as RBI, Fed and CPI announcements
- Maintain execution logs and daily trading reports; participate in team strategy reviews and efficiency optimisation sessions
Candidate profile: 1-3 years of experience, or solid demonstrated interest, in ETF trading, arbitrage or market making. Understands ETF behaviour relative to the underlying. Sharp with numbers and calm under pressure. Excel or Python for spread analysis is an advantage.
