Role Description The Estimation Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Navi Mumbai. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for generator supply, installation, and related electrical projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements and technical specifications.

The Estimation

Engineer collaborates with sales, procurement, and technical teams to analyze drawings, technical documents, and site conditions, and to prepare quotations, bills of quantities, and tender documents. Daily tasks include reviewing client inquiries, performing rate analysis, evaluating supplier quotations, updating cost databases,



and supporting negotiations with clear technical and commercial justifications. The role also involves maintaining documentation, adhering to company standards and safety norms, and contributing to continuous improvement in estimation processes.

Qualifications

Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, DG sets, and associated electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Experience in project cost estimation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and preparation of BOQs, quotations, and tender documents for industrial or commercial projects.

Proficiency in MS Excel and other estimation or ERP tools, with sound numerical ability and attention to detail for accurate cost calculations.

Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with sales, procurement, site teams, suppliers, and clients.

Understanding of industry standards, basic contract terms, and safety practices related to electrical and power equipment projects.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience in estimation.

Prior experience in the power equipment, generator, or electrical contracting industry is highly beneficial.

Ability to work on-site in Navi Mumbai, manage multiple inquiries simultaneously, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
